Simon Wilks trained at a high quality joinery shop where he gained invaluable experience producing outstanding work for stately homes and churches. With skills and passion firmly established, Simon founded Elm Tree Joinery in 2003, joined by Emlyn Long and Drew Walker in 2007 creating the partnership.

 

With a similar background, Emlyn and Simon developed a great friendship and understanding of each other's work ethic. Emlyn now runs the purpose made joinery aspect of the company with a team of skilled craftspeople working with him.

 

Drew trained at Ryecote Wood College in Thame and has worked at many highly respected furniture makers, designers and cabinetmakers throughout the country. Drew now heads up the cabinet making side of the business. Having settled back near Burford, he and Simon often spent many hours talking about wood over a pint before making the decision to work together.

 

Simon, Emlyn and Drew are supported by a team of skilled, enthusiastic and friendly young tradesmen and women, each bringing a breadth of skills and experiences from across the industry.
